New "Most Creative Instructor" Award at ICE Conference PDF Print E-mail
New this year to the ICE Spring break conference is the Most Creative Instructor award.

The award will be issued by the Instructor Coordinator Society which is a sub-committee of MEMSA, formed to promote the educational efforts of pre-hospital agencies in Missouri.  Within this sub-committee, instructors and coordinators can network and exchange ideas.

Many EMS professionals come together each year at the ICE conference to fulfill educational requirements and to see what is new in EMS education.

This is the first year that the ‘Most Creative Instructor’ award will be given and will honor a person who makes EMS education meaningful, thought provoking and memorable.  A nomination form is on the MEMSA website and anyone can nominate a person for the award.

The sub-committee has been careful not to overlap existing awards given at the Combined Clinical Conference, such as the Outstanding Instructor Coordinator of the Year award.  With a completely different set of criteria to focus on, the new award is essentially a way to recognize ICE Society EMS professionals at their own Conference.

The Most Creative Instructor Coordinator award will be presented as a plaque to the winner at the sub-committee business meeting on Tuesday, April 21 at 4:30 pm.  Refer also to the schedule.

At the meeting, new officers will also be elected, including Chairman, Vice-Chairman and Secretary/Treasurer.  This election has been held in years past at the Combined Clinical Conference but has been transitioned to the ICE Spring Break Conference.

In addition to the award, the subcommittee is working hard to obtain items as well as refreshments for each of the people that attend the ICE Society meeting. Please plan to participate in the meeting and help to honor your colleagues.
